License Application Pre-Hearing Update

Berkley Resources Inc. (the "Company" or "Berkley") and its seven partners were pleased that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board ("AEUB") agreed to postpone the Pre-Hearing Meeting scheduled for December 5, 2007 relative to the Company's well license application in the Crossfield Area of Alberta. The late and unexpected application for intervener status by the Town of Crossfield made the postponement to February 2008 the appropriate course of action while the Company deals with their concerns. The proposed 10,000 ft. Crossfield formation test is located 5 km (3 miles) southwest of the Town of Crossfield at 11-9-28-1 W5M. The Company is disappointed with the need for this postponement inasmuch as Berkley's licensing manager had worked diligently with the Town of Crossfield for over two years to ensure that all issues had been dealt with. The Company is confident that the new members of the Town Council will become comfortable with the proposed drilling operation when they have had the opportunity to fully understand the entire drilling process and the layer over layer of safety measures that will be in place throughout the drilling and production operations. The agreed postponement should not alter the actual drilling time for the well which is planned for mid-2008.

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD
